Erik Scott, Founder 

Erik Scott founded and manages Pareto Capital Partners. He has amassed three decades of investing experience in private equity across the services landscape, including business, healthcare, financial and consumer services. 

He was a co-founding Partner of Avance Investment Management in 2020. Prior to Avance, he was Managing Director at Palladium Equity Partners. He has held several other senior private equity roles, including as Principal at FdG Associates and Principal of Parthenon Capital. Before joining Parthenon Capital for its first fund, he helped start up Raymond James Capital’s private equity business, worked at Allied Capital making mezzanine/growth investments in founder and sponsor-owned businesses, at Alex. Brown & Sons in tech/M&A investment banking. He began his career at Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co. in M&A advisory. 

He earned a B.A. magna cum laude in Economics with a concentration in Spanish from Vanderbilt University, and an M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia where he was a recipient of the William Michael Shermet award. 

He has also been involved in several non-profit organizations including The Robert Toigo Foundation, where he has served on the board, The Robin Hood Foundation, Exchange Club of New Canaan, New York and DC Cares, Boys and Girls Clubs, Donors Choose and various art museums. Erik lives in Connecticut with his wife and four children.
